Root Pots

The Root Pot is suitable for use with a wide range of growing media and is used in passive or hydroponics systems. 

Unlike conventional plastic pots, once the roots reach the wall of the Root pot they are ‘air pruned’. This happens naturally when roots are exposed to air in the absence of high humidity.  The roots are effectively “burned” off, causing the plant to constantly produce new and healthy branching roots.  If roots are not exposed to air, they continue to grow around the container in a constricted pattern. The root effectively stops growing and will not grow round and round the inside of the pot (pot bound). The plants' energy instead is focused on growing new feeder roots, creating a dense, healthy root system.

The Root Pot is delivered to you as flat packed kit that assembles in seconds. After harvest, the Root Pot is quickly removed from the root complex and can be stored flat until the next time it is needed.
